Kim was born and raised in Michigan.  She attended Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in Package Engineering. She worked for Lehn & Fink, and then for Lederle Labs and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Package Engineer for 15 years before taking a break to complete her family.   She has been married for 20 years to her husband Michael.  They have three fabulous girls together. They are members of St. Elizabeth church, where the girls and Kim have been singing in the Family Group for the past 7 years.  Kim also enjoys playing the string bass in a small local orchestra group, sewing, crafting, ice skating and taking long walks with the family dog – Bucket!
