Covenant Church Closure

Covenant Church Closure

    Greetings to the Covenant community!
Our  church will remain closed until April 26 in keeping with the guidelines of the Presbytery of Donegal. We all share in a continued commitment to the health, wholeness, and connectional spirit of our entire community.
Live streaming of Sunday worship services will continue at 11 a.m. each and every Sunday. Worship is a central part of our faith life that we can share together on Sunday mornings.  Do join in! Go to covenantfrazer.org/live for more details on how to view the livestream. Looking ahead, Palm Sunday service will feature special music. Easter will be a celebration as we joyfully shout to the world that Christ is risen indeed!
Holy Week Services will include virtual services on Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m. and Good Friday at noon. On Maundy Thursday, we hear the passion of Christ as recorded in the first gospel written, Mark. Good Friday, we will be together to listen to seven meditations on the last “words” (sentences) that Jesus spoke from the cross. Again, check covenantfrazer.org/live.
At Covenant, relationships matter. Many groups such as LIFT and Promise Keepers are continuing to meet by email, conference call, and video conference. The board of deacons, in collaboration with staff and all deacons who have served in the past, is working to reach out to as many people as possible to "stay in touch"!

We want to include a “shout out” to God on behalf of the Covenant staff!  They are still working long hours, and inundated with information. Their challenge is to keep up with the videos, Zoom meetings, conference calls, local news stories, email posts, Federal-state-CDC updates, pastoral calls and texts, while at the same time providing spiritual resources and guidance.
Finally,  we continue to lift up prayers from our community prayer book, the Psalms, as we sing to the Lord:

You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,
    will say to the Lord,
My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
    Psalm 91: 1,2

And so we shall go forward together, trusting in our God.

Blessings of our crucified and risen Lord Jesus Christ,
    Pastor Jim and Pastor Alex

Continued Peace and joy from the pastoral staff:
