Hailing from Charlottesville, Virginia, James has called Pennsylvania home since 2022. He attended Shenandoah University, where he graduated with degrees in trumpet performance and jazz studies. Since his matriculation, James has been fortunate to have held a variety of musical roles, serving as a performer, educator, composer-arranger, and AV technician. James feels blessed to combine his passion for AV engineering with his faith as he serves at Covenant.

James met his wife Heather while in college, and the two were married in 2024. They reside in rural splendor in Lancaster County, and spend their free time hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, playing trumpet across Southeastern PA, and taking care of their ever-expanding menagerie of animals.
